Ship Building and Repairs

Bulgaria’s shipbuilding and repairs industry includes several dozens of companies. Some of them construct new commercial vehicles and others manufacture the necessary equipment while a third group specialise in repairs.

Shipbuilding takes place at shipyards along the Danube shore or at the Black Sea coast. Products include tankers, passenger vessels, barges and cargo vessels. Some companies renovate existing ships. Large shipbuilders also provide maintenance and repair services.
