Hotels

The range and quality of hotels in Bulgaria is large. The choice of a particular hotel will depend upon a variety of factors – reason for the stay (business or pleasure), location (city centre or quiet countryside retreat), and 5-star luxury or comfortably chic are just some of choices to be made.

Having set your requirements making a choice of hotel can be quite difficult. Searching the internet, looking through directories and magazines or asking friends for their recommendations are three of the best ways to help you make the right choice.

And don’t forget to check the range of services provided by your choice of hotel – internet and wireless connections, mineral and spa pools, swimming pool and gym facilities, secure car-parking facilities, the inclusion of breakfast in the room price, the opportunity to bring pets etc.

Prices. A hotel room may turn out to be expensive or inexpensive depending on for how many people are calculated the price. In some hotels prices are calculated on number of people.  For example a double or twin room in some hotels can be rented for 50 BGN for a person, and the price is doubled for a couple. Hotels in the capital Sofia are often much more expensive compared to the other cities.

Breakfast. If breakfast is not included in the price for a room, ask for the price and for the choice of offered food and drinks. Some hotels offer poor choice of sandwiches and hot drinks to their clients and having breakfast at near café could be a better decision.

Car Parks. Most of hotels and guest houses provide parking places for their guests with limited number. Finding a place to park can be extremely difficult in resorts during the peak of tourist season, as well as in the big at the sea coast Varna and Burgas.
